The BBB lists DRS as a collection agency. Buzzfile estimates DRS’s annual revenue at $6 million and the size of its headquarters staff at 41 employees.

Can Dynamic Recovery Solutions Sue Me or Garnish My Wages?

It is illegal for a debt collector to make empty threats to sue you or garnish your wages. It is also unlikely DRS would sue you for a debt you may not owe or they cannot validate. However, debt collection agencies are known to have summoned debtors to court and garnish wages after a default judgement. Contacting an attorney BEFORE this could possibly happen would be a smart move. We’ve helped thousands of consumers fight back against unscrupulous debt collection harassers. Unlawful Debt Harassment? Learn the Law & Sue the Collector.

Can you help me file a No Fee Lawsuit against Dynamic Recovery Solutions

Absolutely.  You can sue a debt collector. Here is a Sample Case Filed in Federal Court:

In April 2017, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, a judge issued a decision in a case alleging Dynamic Recovery Solutions had violated certain provisions of the FDCPA. In this case, the plaintiff had incurred a debt after using a credit card. Over 10 years prior to the complaint, she had defaulted on the debt. The debt was purchased by a third-party debt buyer, and in collaboration with DRS, revived efforts to collect the debt by sending a letter to the plaintiff. The letter included the following statement:

“The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, Dynamic Recovery Solutions will not sue you for it and DRS will not report it to any credit reporting agency.”

In addition, it offered 3 payments options involving various settlement amounts, accompanied by the statement that they “are not obligated to renew this offer.” In her complaint, the plaintiff stated when she read the letter she “believed that if she did not pay the debt, then DRS would sue her, due to her ignorance that the applicable…statute of limitations would, in fact, bar any suit filed on the debt.” Her complaint also stated that the letter “concealed that a partial payment on the debt would revive the statute of limitations, thus subjecting her to suit on the debt.” As a result, she sued Dynamic Recovery Solutions for violating the FDCPA’s prohibitions against “the use of any false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt or to obtain information concerning a consumer”; and the use of “unfair or unconscionable means to collect or attempt to collect any debt.”

Attorneys for DRS argued that the above statement was not misleading because it stated clearly that they were not going to sue the plaintiff. They cited previous cases in which both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the CFPB stated that the wording they had used in the letter was not a violation. Although the court agreed that both agencies had not objected to the language in the letter, they also stated that the plaintiff may have been misled. The statement failed to indicate that the age of the debt prohibited Dynamic Recovery Solutions from suing the plaintiff. She interpreted their statement that they would not sue her as simply a statement that although they were choosing not to sue her, they could if they wanted to. In addition, because the letter failed to inform the plaintiff that if she made any partial payments, she risked reviving the statute of limitations, the court agreed that the settlement offers in the letter may have constituted a violation of the FDCPA’s prohibition against using false representations or deceptive means to attempt to collect a debt. As a result, the court denied DRS’s motion to dismiss the claim, and the complaint was set for trial.

Dynamic Recovery Solutions DRS Calling You?

Federal laws protect you. The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) regulates the behavior of collection agencies by prohibiting actions such as the use of abusive or threatening language; harassment; or the use of false or misleading information to collect a debt. The FCRA regulates how collection agencies and creditors report delinquent debts to credit reporting agencies. Additional consumer protection laws include the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Act (CFPA).

Can I sue DRS for harassment?

Yes. If you want to enforce your rights, or recover money for violations — you need to sue. Federal laws provide individuals like you with a means to seek monetary damages in court. For example, the FDCPA allows consumers who have been violated to recover damages of up to $1,000, plus attorney fees and court costs.

I have an additional phone number they call from. 267-996-3988. They have refused over the years to stop calling my phone looking for someone I do not know.
They ask for the person first then you tell them “who are you looking for” they say the name again then say if this is the person it is a recorded line. LOL Like that is supposed to scare me. After a while of listening to them ask for someone they are reluctant to say who they are and their address. Today I got a website finally instead of a run around of “you do not need our address.” It would be nice to be able to sue them for calling me. Too bad I can not give a 0 star rating.

Receiving multiple calls at home, work, my mothers cell, and my grandmothers home from DRS (Dynamic recovery) – a C&D is being issued today, as they wouldnt identify themselves besides DRS

  • San A

DRS has called me constantly every day, several times a day. Once in a while I have a recorded message saying that I owe money and even several payment options in the recording to choose but the message states that I have to resolve this matter to prevent further action being taken against me? They do not even tell me who they are collecting for, just that I owe over $1500? Seriously? Starting today, now I am receiving texts telling me to go online and pay them or call them to make a payment? Is this even legal or are they some kind of scam?

  • Crystal

DRS Processing in Charlotte calls me telling me I have an outstanding debt for a Discover card that I have never had. They say they sent paperwork, which I have never received. I am sick of the calls from Becky Owens at DRS in Charlotte, NC at 301 McCullogh Drive, Suite 400, Charlotte, NC 28262. I asked for the paperwork to be sent “again” and she said that it was already sent and that they would proceed with court.

  • Amy

DRS has been calling me here lately, today 25 minutes apart. 352-547-5320 is the number it shows when calling. In message it tells you to call back at 855-200-1527. They tell you there have been several complaints made in there office. I paid this debt off but because my last name was mistyped they will not accept it. The account number and everything is correct. I have not had this credit card since around 2008.

  • Dayna H

Just start receiving phone calls and text messages from DRS about a debt. Also getting call at my old job that I no longer work at almost 6 year.

  • Chris J

I am disabled, live alone, have very poor speech. DRS has phoned over 100 times with other names, and when I say ”wrong #’ or “not my name” I either get an “oh, sorry” or “I cannot understand you” and many times say “we will remove your # from our list”; then less than a week later call again. It is very difficult to answer my phone. I have asked nicely to stop calling, next step seems to sue DRS since I am fed up!

  • Debra C

This DRS calls my number looking for my son who hasn’t lived at my residence in years. I live in Kentucky and he is currently living somewhere in Oregon. for the last 3. They call my phone saying that I will be in trouble if I don’t tell them where he is or where he working. My son is almost 40 yrs old, and I want them to stop harassing me.

  • Jennifer S

Just had a call minutes ago from DRS and they stated I owed 2 Medical bills from 2009! I’ve paid those loans right after they came out and remember paying it off FULLY. They stated i owe more than $1500!! NO way is that possible! I only have debt from student loans YUCK! Coincidentally I’m on a contract to buy my first house and these scammers after 10 years came after for a paid bill?? They knew my name and old address and is supposedly mailing me a statement. I have no papers from them ever, and now I have to dig through 10 years worth of check books to prove I’ve paid my dues which by the way was $1,025, not $1,500. They also tried to get me to pay a settlement of $160, I told them no way, and I’m not claiming any of these “debts” you say. 727-325-5715 is the number they called from here in FL. The first rep was nasty to me and wouldn’t even answer my questions and only said I owed $500, she was loud, she hung up and I called back requesting a manager and this woman said I also owed $1000, where are they getting these numbers from?

  • Patricia P

These people at Dynamic Recovery Solutions are calling me constantly. I tried to make a payment arrangement with them but they would not work with me so they are constantly calling. I want to stop their calls and have them deal with me via e-mail or mail

  • Daniel S

I keep getting calls from DRS! They are even calling my parents house looking for me. They refuse to leave messages. So when I called and got through, they said they have my account that I owe $700. So I called the credit card company that bought out that credit card because I defaulted, and they said it was bought out by DNS Associates. Somehow they got all my info. What should I do?

  • Judi

DRS sent a collection letter to my daughter. My daughter passed away three years ago. I notified her creditors as well as all three credit reporting agencies. I am extremely angry.

  • The R

Woke me up this AM from 651-371-7847 (MN). I called back and didn’t expect to get thru but got DRS. They are now searching the dictionary to figure out what I told them, but the words won’t be there, LOL. What do they want with me, I have no debt and never made even a late payment, credit score 806. I think I’ll call them 4 or 5 times a day. They made a big mistake messing with me.

  • Lance

I have been getting numerous robocalls and now I’m getting texts messages to go to a website that has nothing but drs in the corner and a place to enter an account number and password or something they never say who they or who they represent I’ve just looked up some of the numbers and that’s who it shows I have more blocked numbers than I have contacts because they call so much now they’ve started the texting business

  • Kory W

I have the exact same issue. I refused to verify any information that they had about me, although it was so spot on (scary). They eventually told me to call back when I’m ready to move forward. Screw them. Paper tigers. I feel bad for those more “naive” people that fall victim to this scam.

  • Lisa M

I have received several calls from them. Just now I got a call from 214-521-7491. When I answer he immediately starts saying my name really loudly in my ear. I ask “Who is this?” He contines to yell “Lisa, Lisa.. Is this Lisa?!!” I ask “Who is this.” He tells me DRS. “Is this Lisa? I ask what the call is in regards to.. He’s still yelling my name.. ‘Is this Lisa or NOT Bitch!! .. Then he hung up on me?

  • Not w

Absolute jokers won’t give a reason to why they are calling called several times got funny with my nan of 86 on the phone and she has been taken to hospital she had a panic attack and thought someone was watching her calling many times and then asking for a relative bit wouldn’t say why u can tell my nan is elderly if anything happens to her I’ll burn your building down

  • Noel C

New phone number they use 971-339-6782. After identifying myself, they refused to answer any questions unless I verified my address and phone number (sorry, you called me!). They promptly hung up after I refused to do anything until I understood the nature of the call.

  • Danielle

I have asked them several times to send me something showing I owed this money and they laugh. James at Dynamic recovery solutions hangs up in me when I ask him to email me the corespondace….I have asked them multiple times to quit calling me and now they are calling the president of the company I work for. I need them to stop!

  • J. G

I have received several phone calls weekly from Dynamic Recovery Solutions and a letter trying to collect on a 10+ year old debt. I am in Virginia and this is well past the Statue of Limitations on Debt collection here. I would like for you to sue them and collect what you can from them. They are using a ROBO dialer as well and that is illegal. I just want DRS prosecuted under the law or sued.

  • C.W.

Dynamic Recovery Solutions Call so often every day. Early mornings and late at night. I am about to see if I should pay it but did research and found out about all these complaints so I am not the only one which is nice to know. I don’t know if there would be a case or not but I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask. The robot-calling machines that constantly call are somewhat annoying with work and life. If this is real it has to have been about 6-7 years. If you have any information that can help before I pay this please send an email. It is a little easier to find a time to talk with work, school, and kids.

  • Michele

I got a call from Drs asking for an ex. Then they asked if I knew the name of my step dad. When I asked why they wanted to know if I knew him and i told them there was no was the two of them were related in any kind of business matter, she told me he needed to call her as soon as possible and then hung up on me.

  • Barry L

I am receiving relentless calls fro DRS from phone number (857) 326-6707. No message is never left, and a calls back to them Initially connects with a recording. When I refuse to verify social, (even just the last four), She told me this morning I was being “uncooperative”, and would not tell me the reason for the calls. I have told them in the past to stop the calls, yet they continue. Can you help?

  • Davide E

I keep getting calls and messages now my brother text my phone saying his wife was left a message for me and it had my name in the voice mail when I call they asked about a different person other than myself finds out its DRS who has called me to many times after telling them I don’t know that person.

  • Azucena E

  • Ally T

I’ve been getting calls in the morning for several days, always right after 8am. When I pick up there is no one on the other line and the calls drops. I noticed today that it’s the same three numbers that are calling. I called all three numbers and spoke to Dynamic Recovery Solutions. I’ve been told that this kind of calling is harassment and illegal.

  • Jen L

Got a call 12/3/18 on my cellphone from 857-326-6206 (that’s spoofed to look like it’s near me). The guy says my name–as if it’s a question–so I said, “This is [my name]; who is this?”–so basically I identified myself. He did not identify himself. He said, “this line is being recorded. I’m calling about an important business matter we have with you. Please verify your address and last 4 digits of your social security number.” I said, “No thank you; that sounds very scammy”, hung up and blocked his number. While I was briefly speaking, he started to raise his voice to interrupt me, repeating my first name several times as if to tell me I shouldn’t speak. After hanging up, I googled the number and found it was Dynamic Recovery Solutions. Give me a break. I have a credit score of 775 and don’t owe anyone a dime that isn’t current.

  • Stop C

I’m a real estate appraiser out of Colorado, and this company has been robo calling me from varied numbers, probably to get me as a customer, since appraisers get ripped off left and right from third party appraisal management companies, (amc’s). This company called me from 720-909-6422. As I don’t have any debt, they’re likely just soliciting me even though we’re clearly on the do not call list, probably this company is trying to buy amc debt from me. As I don’t work for amc’s, I have no debt to sell. Companies seem to think do not call lists do not apply to independent 1099’s, they’re wrong. Good thing my trusty Sentry 10,000 number analog call blocker is plugged in. It hangs up on any caller after 1 ring if I add them to the block list. Keep on calling Dynamic Recovery Solutions, I’ll keep on blocking your numbers. Using robo callers is a sure fire way to signal that the company person or politician has absolutely no respect for the persons they are calling.

  • Janice

DRS has been contacting my home phone every weekday morning for the past few weeks. The number on my phone comes up as 720-502-0556, but if I hit the phone call back the number is 720-502-0606. If my husband answers, they hang up. If I answer they ask to speak to ***** and give a woman’s name. If I ask who is calling they will give a first name, if I ask what business is calling they avoid answering and either hang up or ask to speak to a woman again. In 2006 I had a credit card opened fraudulently in my name, this went to court and I won. But the debt had been sold and has been re-sold many times. I, personally, do not owe this debt and have kept all the papers stating this. It took years to clear this up, now I have a great credit score. I have no overdue debt.

  • Lee

Received a call and they called my mother, who is not on any legal document I have signed for a loan, nor lives in the state I reside. In fact, they called her before they called me.
DRS agencies with a Miss Martin on the phone. She refuse to mail me any information and right away went to how much can I put down today. It sounded as if I was calling a home number.
    651-204-7071 and 651-204-2184.
I have gotten several calls from various numbers with various online loan agencies stating I owe. I have yet to receive any documentation I owe any funds to these agencies nor do I remember using their services.

They had my last four of my social.

  • Candis

DRS call me from a Minnesota number but left 612-286-1541 to call them back at, which seems odd. The calls had no name just said DRS and sounded pre-recorded. They called my cell which has the standard automated recording and said I neglected to call them and need to by 7pm today. I have never received anything from these people

  • Venessa A

I received a call from a woman (didn’t catch her name) stating that she is from Dynamic Recovery Solutions ( phone # 817-402-8503 Alvarado,TX) . She told me she was calling about a debit I supposedly had with Bally Total Fitness. She said to know if i am speaking to the right person can you give me your address and last four of your ssn, And I told her NO I do not give that info over the phone. Then she proceeded to tell me that i owe Bally $4,000 dollars from the year 2005 and that I will be sued for this if I do not agree to pay a certain amount at that time. I told her that if it was me who had that debit , it has been 13 years they are past the time limit to sue me. I then told her that if i receive another call from her or any one that works for this company, they will be hearing from my lawyer and I will be suing them for harassment. I then hung up the phone and blocked the number.
A week later I received a Bill from them for $2,755.63. This is not the amount I was threatened with on the phone.
Thank you for Reading this and I hope it Helps someone.
And if any one has some advice for me I will be very grateful.

  • S. H

I have received two threatening calls within two or three weeks. Each call states I am being contacted for debt collection because of “my failure to respond.” The debt amount and name of the business is not included in these calls. They go on to imply potential legal action by saying I should “call soon before they are asked to cease voluntary communication.” This is frustrating because I am dealing with serious health issues that are heavily impacted by stress. These calls are threatening and causing a lot of stress even though I have likely paid off whatever debt DRS is claiming I owe,

  • Brandy P

I called this number back(612-216-1288) after they left a voicemail on my friends phone with no attempts of stating who they were nor their business or the name or the caller. When i contacted this number it rang four times and a woman answered with a hello. I told her there was an odd message on my friends phone and I was calling to see who she was and what company she represented( Remind you she did not state that this is so and so from DRS a collection company, it was a simple hello!) She stated she did not have to tell me who she represented as a business and she skated around the question when asked her name. When I told her it was illegal for her to with hold such information she asked if they contacted my home number and yet again I stated no. She was so persistent in wanting to know who my friend was so I hung up. But this woman was claiming to be from DRS.

  • Robert S

I just received a call from Dynamic Recovery Solutions from my local area code and the lady gave me very little information other than her name, (Crystal Carington) not sure if the spelling is correct. She insisted that I call back from the number that they called from and I insisted that she give me the business number. When she did I got 833-599-9654. This number comes up as an invalid area code.

  • Hugo B

I have had nothing but rude interactions with this company. They have left voicemails threatening wage garnishment and legal action on my friends and families phones. They have violated FDCPA regulations.

  • Josh v

Received a random call from them under (214) 431-3290. Not sure what debt they are presuing, probably one that is no longer reported under the 3 credit bureaus
