2025 Buick Enclave Brake Problems? Master Cylinder Failure
Class Action
Update: See if you qualify for our GM Master Brake Cylinder Lawsuit.

Lemberg Law is reviewing reports of brake system failures in the 2025 Buick Enclave. Drivers say their brake pedals suddenly sink to the floor, warning messages such as “brake system failure” appear, or the vehicle loses stopping power altogether. Early evidence points to a defect in the brake master cylinder, a critical component of the braking system. This same issue has also been reported in the GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse and even in pickup models like the 2025 Chevy Colorado & GMC Canyon.

What’s Going On with the 2025 Enclave Brakes?
Owners have described frightening symptoms:
- Brake pedal drops when pressed—sometimes before starting the vehicle.
- Sudden loss of braking power while driving, even at high speeds.
- Dashboard warning reading “brake system failure.”
- Dealer diagnosis is often inconclusive; some blame sensors or report part shortages.
Real Complaints from Enclave Owners
Owners have shared the following experiences
“Just bought a 2025 Enclave, 10 months ago… driving at 65 mph… my brakes went out, and the dash said ‘brake system failure.’”
“Purchased a 2025 Enclave Avenir with only 3 miles on it. Within a week, the brake pedal went to the floor before starting. Dealer couldn’t replicate it after keeping it a week. It’s happened multiple times.”
“Brakes failed before leaving the dealership. They said it was a sensor.”
What Is GM Saying? TSB N242482170 Explained
In December 2024, General Motors issued Service Update N242482170 for certain 2024 and 2025 vehicles, including the Buick Enclave. The bulletin revealed a defect in the brake master cylinder: a missing internal cartridge seal inside the e-Boost module.
- The risk: Without the seal, hydraulic pressure may fail, leading to inconsistent or total brake loss.
- The fix: Replace the brake master cylinder with a corrected unit.
