The Volkswagen ID.4 uses a fully digital dashboard and central infotainment screen. These displays provide information about speed, navigation, cameras, driver assistance systems, and vehicle controls.
Unlike traditional vehicles with analog gauges, the ID.4 relies heavily on these digital displays for basic driving information. As a result, when the system fails, drivers may temporarily lose access to key vehicle data.
Owners report that the displays may suddenly reboot, freeze, or turn black while the vehicle is moving.

- Infotainment screen going completely black
- Instrument cluster losing speed and vehicle information
- Screens rebooting while the vehicle is in motion
