Can AMCOL Systems Sue Me or Garnish My Wages?

It is illegal for a debt collector to make empty threats to sue you or garnish your wages. It is also unlikely AMCOL would sue you for a debt you may not owe or they cannot validate. However, debt collection agencies are known to have summoned debtors to court and garnish wages after a default judgement. Contacting an attorney BEFORE this could possibly happen would be a smart move. We’ve helped thousands of consumers fight back against unscrupulous debt collection harassers. What Our Clients are Saying

“I was almost going nuts receiving calls every afternoon from a person using profane language to push me to pay debts I don’t owe. Someone I trust referred me to Lemberg Law, and I don’t regret having contacted them. The attorneys were very kind and always available when I needed them.”

“Thank you for standing with me Lemberg Law. I was so afraid I could lose my job because of a caller who called my job number 4 hours straight back to back. He not only harassed and threatened me but also abused workmates who received the call when I wasn’t around. Since I solicited for your services, I’ve had a peace of mind, and I’m happy because of the few dollars I got as a settlement.””After speaking to one of the partners, and going over the plan of action, I immediately felt I’d chose the perfect company to go to work for me. He was very accommodating in describing what was going to happen. I would strongly recommend Lemberg Law to anybody being hassled by debt collectors.”

Amcol keeps calling my cell phone leaving message to collect a debt every day! I am annoyed with these calls and in the state of florida there is a law that this is not allowed and they can be sued is this true?

  • Christopher G

I have a collection with Amcol which is a valid collection attempt (I believe). The problem comes in the fact that they call me everyday (sometimes twice a day) attempting to collect. I have told them that I will pay as soon as I am able, (I had some court costs come up that I am trying to recoup from) but they continue to call. Is there anything I can do to stop the calls?

  • Ashish B

I looked at my credit history and was surprised to see that there was derogatory comment of non payment of $343 however I do non remember receiving the bills and when I call this collection company and offered to pay in full if comments can be removed and I get back my rating. They confirmed that within 30 days this will pulled. I have seen with lots of comment that it does not happen. can you please throw some light. Also can same debt be put on the credit history again and can it hit fico again.

I have a collection with Amcol Systems and have had for over a year now. They have refused to send me statements every month, but to only take a payment over the phone. I offered to pay the debt in full in return they remove it from my credit report and was told last year that do not do that and I should pay my bills. I was told that it will stay on my credit until 2024 whether it was paid or not. I sent a certified letter with an offer to pay in full in exchange for the removal on credit report, but never heard back. Now that nearly a year has passed, I contacted them once again today and was told by a very pleasant woman that once the debt is paid it is removed from my credit report. I asked if I could get that in writing and was told they cannot do that, but she guaranteed me it would be taken off in up to 30 days. Is this accurate information? She said that they had recently made that change and she could not lie to me. I’m just concerned that by paying this debt it is going to remain on my credit report. Thank you

My concern is I have received this letter in my mail Friday. Amcol system say I owe this debt from Milford hospital of 65.00 dollars on September 10, 2018. I have not been in the hospital for any reason. I know they are scams and trying to get money out of someone. I would like to law suit them at no charge to me. This is getting ridiculous and would like them stop calling me with threatening phone calls and violence, or trying to arrest me. I would like to have this off my credit report.

  • norman r
