Absolute Collections Corp Calling You?
Federal laws protect you. The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) regulates the behavior of collection agencies by prohibiting actions such as the use of abusive or threatening language; harassment; or the use of false or misleading information to collect a debt. The FCRA regulates how collection agencies and creditors report delinquent debts to credit reporting agencies. Additional consumer protection laws include the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Act (CFPA).
Can I sue ACC for harassment?
Yes. If you want to enforce your rights, or recover money for violations — you need to sue. Federal laws provide individuals like you with a means to seek monetary damages in court. This company has been calling me saying they had legal documents to deliver to me. It was an automated call. I called back with the case # that was on the auto call. They told me I had a credit card debt from approx 10 years ago, for 750$. I was also told they were preparing litigation. They rattled off my ss #, previous and current address, but the contacts I did not know. Then they informed me I could settle today for 500$. But, if I chose to go to court, it would be 1700$ I don’t know what to do.
This organization called me today saying in 2006 I had a credit card and I defaulted. Leaving a debt of $900.00
They told me they will not send documention regarding this account and told me they are going to sue me for 4K they read me my Ss number my car make and model with vin# saying they are going to garnish my Ss disability checks. I do not remember this debit nor do I remember a letter they claim they sent. Contact was rude would not allow me to speak and refused to send documents. They wanted a credit card to settle debit and were as rude as can be. I was scammed two yrs ago with this same attempt. Loosing 800.00
I do not know if they are legit of not.

Extremely rude and impatient personnel! I only had a couple of them who were actually nice! SO now they say i have another loan out that is twice the amount from the one i settled! and the lady, a Ms. Morgan something or another, was so rude she wouldn’t even let me explain. I never made a second loan via CashNet Usa! I would really like for them to stop harassing my family, and if “i am to be sued” for something they claim happened over 10 years ago…. why havent i recieved any documents? I hate these people.

This same company has called my work 3 times with robot calls. I called them they went on about how I was attempting to defraud some company I never heard of. And I owed them 825.00. They then said they were going to send me court papers.
I then called the number given to me and it was no longer in service.
CashNetUSA – Absolute Collections Tammy Goodwin –
They have called for today @ least 5 times. 10/10/2018.
They have ask when I was going to be home so they could file a law suit, as it was not yet filed and they were going to file and we needed to be served.
I asked what was this was about. They gave me the above name – CashNetUSA?
They made sure this was not my exhusband.
They have contacted my child. Not sure what to do?
They are calling me stating that my husband owes on a payday loan from Feb 2013. HE WAS IN PRISON AT THE TIME. Then they said something about him working for someone in 2011….HE HAD BEEN SHOT AND WAS UNABLE TO WORK. They are very rude and are threatening the both of us. They are saying the will show up at our jobs and home. What do we do?
A couple of things first they called my mother she told them I don’t live there now they are calling me at work threatening to serve me at my home or at work but it is a recorded message from an Emily and they are asking me to contact them at 866-292-1156… I cannot opt out of the robocall to tell them to stop calling me at work
Does the debt collector have to disclose when the debt was made and where when you ask for that information?
They keep calling my mother’s phone leaving a Robocall message that they will be coming to home and place of employment to serve me
