Can Mintex Inc Sue Me or Garnish My Wages?

It is illegal for a debt collector to make empty threats to sue you or garnish your wages. It is also unlikely Mintex would sue you for a debt you may not owe or they cannot validate. However, debt collection agencies are known to have summoned debtors to court and garnish wages after a default judgement. Contacting an attorney BEFORE this could possibly happen would be a smart move. We’ve helped thousands of consumers fight back against unscrupulous debt collection harassers. Can you help me file a No Fee Lawsuit against Mintex Inc?

Absolutely.  You can sue a debt collector. Here is a Sample Case Complaint:

Complaints against Mintex Inc cite problems resulting from frequent phone calls; disclosure of debt information to unauthorized third parties; disputes about the accuracy of billing and accounting procedures; and allegations of rude and abusive telephone staff, usually in relation to efforts to collect traffic fines. In December 2018, a complainant stated that he had been contacted by telephone early in the morning by a Mintex representative. According to the complainant, he had not been at home at the time of the call. The person who answered the phone told him that when she took the call, the Mintex representative did not verify that she was speaking to someone authorized to discuss the debt and disclosed all the complainant’s debt information in violation of the FDCPA. The complainant also stated that the Mintex representative “proceeded to hang up on the individual when” she stated that she had not verified the call recipient’s identity. The call recipient allegedly called back and spoke to another representative. She told him what had happened and that the call had been recorded. The Mintex representative said he would forward the information to the administration. The complainant stated that the phone call represented a serious FDCPA violation and that he intended to pursue additional remedies. In response, Mintex stated that they dd not have a record of speaking with the individual who filed the complaint.

In December 2016, a complainant stated that Mintex Inc had called his mobile phone “on a recorded line… and confirmed that they are a debt collector attempting to reach” the party they had identified as responsible for the debt. However, the complainant was not that individual and did not have anything to do with the det or the person Mintex was trying to reach. The complainant appealed to the CFPB for help in pursuing any legal remedies that may be available for the violation of the TCPA and any other applicable laws.

Mintex Inc Calling You?

Federal laws protect you. The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) regulates the behavior of collection agencies by prohibiting actions such as the use of abusive or threatening language; harassment; or the use of false or misleading information to collect a debt. The FCRA regulates how collection agencies and creditors report delinquent debts to credit reporting agencies. Additional consumer protection laws include the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Act (CFPA).

Can I sue Mintex for harassment?

Yes. If you want to enforce your rights, or recover money for violations — you need to sue. Federal laws provide individuals like you with a means to seek monetary damages in court. For example, the FDCPA allows consumers who have been violated to recover damages of up to $1,000, plus attorney fees and court costs.
