Owners of the 2025 Nissan Rogue are reporting incidents of rear window glass breaking without warning. Complaints describe situations where the back glass shattered immediately after closing a door or hatch, while parked, or during normal driving.
Many reports indicate that the glass failure occurred at low mileage and without any visible impact from outside objects.

My 2025 rogue that I bought in September with 6,005 mi on it had the rear- hatch windows spontaneously crack and shatter. I had driven it earlier that day and it was fine there wasn’t a huge temperature fluctuation nothing apparent Hit it. When I shut the driver’s side door all of the glass fell out of the back. Glass fell inside of the tailgate. The glasses pieces in the tailgate were setting off the unlock latch on the hatch every time I went over any kind of a bump. The latch needs to be replaced it will cost $568 just for the part. The glass was covered by my full glass coverage I am out so much money. Nissan denies that this is a problem and the dealership I got it from also denies it as a problem. In addition because the hatch latch was broken one of the shock absorber things is also disconnected from it bouncing around while I drove back and forth trying to get someone to help me with this! This really needs to be a class action suit I want them to pay for these defects. I spent a ton of money on an extended warranty which this is not covered and the bumper to bumper It doesn’t cover it either!

I left home after cleaning snow off our Nissan Rogue drove 15 minutes to grocery store. When returning to the car I placed my groceries in the back passenger seat in my grandson’s car seat when I heard a loud pop after closing the door. I opened the door again to see the hatch window was with a softball size hole in it. No prior accidents and car was parked not running. Looking at the window from the outside the glass was shattered to the edges. I filed a police report but can’t contact anyone else due to it being New Years Eve!!! May this not be an example of my year to come and thank God my grandbaby wasn’t with me.
