The company says it launched an investigation and determined that an unauthorized party accessed and copied certain files between February 2 and February 16, 2024. The internal review concluded on December 6, 2024, confirming that sensitive information was affected.

- Social Security number or other personal identifiers

Silgan has stated there is no evidence of misuse at this time but is notifying individuals out of caution.
What Silgan Is Doing
Silgan says it has strengthened its cybersecurity controls, notified law enforcement, and plans to inform relevant regulators. The company is offering 12 or 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring through Experian, which includes fraud detection and identity theft support services.
