Complaints against Credit Systems of the Fox Valley often cite problems resulting from failure to communicate. In August 2016, a complainant indicated that that she had discovered a delinquency on her credit report while attempting to secure a home equity loan. Upon calling CSFV, she found the delinquent item resulted from medical treatment she had received two years earlier. She paid the past due amount in question, but protested that the delinquency had been on her credit reports for two years without CSFV having notified her of any collection activity. In response, a Credit Systems of the Fox Valley representative indicated that they had tried to contact her in March 2015, but claimed not to have had a valid phone number. Although Credit Systems of the Fox Valley confirmed that they had been unable to contact the complainant by phone, they insisted that they had sent two collection letters that had not been returned by the postal service.

In January 2017, a complainant indicated she had been receiving “harassing hang up style phone calls for nearly a year… from various workers at” CSFV. The complainant alleged that CSFV “will not stop these hang up calls, sometimes up to six times a day or more.” The complainant further alleged that she had attempted to contact CSFV to request that the phone calls stop, but the representative she had spoken with hung up on her. She assesses CSFV’s practices as “harassment…and a terribly dishonest way of representing your business…especially when I do not owe them money, as is the case here.” In response, CSFV merely stated that they “have business… to discuss with the complainant and have made several attempts over the months to make” contact. They also indicated they had made contact in the past, most recently in December 2016, when a female answered their phone and would not identify herself … leaving us no recourse but to end the call.” CSFV insisted they had found no evidence the complainant had ever called. Credit Systems of the Fox Valley indicated they would cease attempts to contact the complainant by phone, but insisted she should contact their office at her earliest convenience.
