Is Bull City Financial Solutions a scam?

They’re legit. According to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) , Bull City Financial Solutions was founded and incorporated in 1975. The BBB established a profile page for BCFS in 1997. The BBB lists Bull City Financial Solutions Collection Services as a collection agency BCFS also does business using the titles, J.L. Walston & Associates, and Professional Credit Service. Buzzfile estimates Bull City Financial Solutions annual revenue at $400K and the size of its headquarters staff at 2 employees.

Who does Bull City Financial Solutions collect for?

According to their website, Bull City Financial Solutions collects for a variety of industries, including healthcare, government and municipalities, financial, utility, communications education and retail. Offering what they call a “customer help desk,” BCFS is in the business of “helping” customers pay money to them.

In a practice that has become quite prevalent in the debt collection business, Bull City Financial Solutions has an entire section of the business devoted to what’s known as “first-party collections.” This implies their debt collectors call and write customers and never disclose that they work for a debt collection agency. Instead, they say they’re calling from the business, physician’s office, or hospital in which the customer had an account. Once an account is not collected, it is a simple pivot for the service provider to employ Bull City Financial Solutions to run third-party collections.

Please be aware that if Park Ridge Hospital intake person in the ER doesn’t get the insurance information entered properly that Radiology billing from Myrtle Beach area will just send to collections. I’ve had insurance and
HENDERSONVILLE RADIOLOGICAL WILL JUST SEND IT ON to collections even though you call Park Ridge billing repeatedly, X rays are contracted out and billed from another place.

I am highly confused about the operations of Bull City. In short, Sprint Phone put me into collections in 8/17. I’m assuming for the cost of 2 iPhones in which were given back to them on a promotional deal. After weeks of fighting with them I choose the charge off amount of almost $1000. Done deal? Wrong, I now have another collection agency wanting $500 for the same account. Of course this Company ERC along with Sprint can’t tell me what it is for!? It dawned on me I paid the monies to Bull City so I called them and they say they don’t deal with Sprint ever and they are not a collection agency?!? Please shed some light on this foolishness or contact me to pursue legal action. Thank you, Deborah Devoe
