Is Beacon Services a scam?

They’re legit. Beacon Services has been in the collections business for 26 years. The company’s BBB profile was opened on July 27th, 2006 and the collections business began on December 27th, 1994. This collections company is currently not accredited by the Better Business Bureau but it has received an “A+” rating. Due to the company’s years in service and its stellar rating it is clear that this company is not scamming consumers. However, while it is important that you do not ignore the need to resolve your alleged debt with Beacon Services, as this could potentially harm your credit and ability to take out future loans, be wary of any suspicious activity where the company could potentially be violating the FDCPA. With that being said, remember that the debt which you may have been contacted about is real, and needs to be dealt with.

This collections company also cites on their website that the company has, “Earned a reputation for dealing with consumers fairly while honestly and firmly representing the rights of its clients. Our team has decades of experience and is intimately familiar with all relevant state and federal collection laws. Who does Beacon Services collect for?

Beacon Services cites that their collections company has a background in banking and finance. In fact, their testimonials list clients from national debt buyers, to property managers, to branch managers, to medical management personnel. Though it is likely that your debt resulted from credit owed in the banking and finance area of collections, it is still very important that as a consumer you confirm with the collections company about what debt is specifically owed and to whom. Inquiring as soon as possible is the smartest move to make, and if you feel as though this company has breached their FDCPA rights be sure to contact an attorney to help you file a lawsuit.

According to the complainant, they, “explained to the representative that they have been disabled since July 2019 and have records proving that they are disabled”.
