The 2022 Hyundai Venue might be a smaller SUV, but the automaker claims it can offer plenty of excitement. In fact, the manufacturer claims it’s meant for “big city hustle.” However, Hyundai is also assuming that the SUV will run normally, which isn’t to be expected, considering the defective electrical system and malfunctioning steering.

Even though it is a lower-dollar SUV, the Venue should still provide all of the best features for connection and convenience, yet it’s nothing more than a disappointment.
Here’s one comment left on the Venue Drivers Forum. “So I have an Android phone and if I make it call on my phone it will play through the car speakers. Problem is when I press the button on my steering wheel and tell it to call someone it will not do it unless I have my phone plugged in with a USB cord.”
For now, the automaker has no technical bulletins showing drivers how to handle this problem. Nor has the company informed technicians how to fix it. Instead, Hyundai has reverted to using old-school technology for in-cabin connections. So much for being a solid ride for city commutes. This SUV belongs back in prehistoric times.
It turns out that the defective steering system is causing just as many problems for drivers across the country.
One NHTSA complaint points out, “On the third day after leasing the vehicle I noticed it was pulling to the right and left. Dealership mechanic said the steering was not straight and claimed that they fixed it but they didn’t. My car still pulls to the right when I take my hands off the steering wheel. Another Hyundai dealership mechanic said it’s the tires. I want to return the vehicle but no one will help me as promised last month.”
Again, Hyundai has nothing to say about this problem. Instead, the automaker is filling up its communications with other problems, such as what’s illustrated with Service Bulletin #21-01-076H. Already, the company is replacing defective fuel caps because it can’t even manage to get this tiny, small part built right. What is Hyundai good at? Apparently, it’s only going to go down in history for creating a top lemon car.
