Is Titan Revenue Solutions a scam?

They’re legit. According to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Titan Revenue Solutions was founded in 2011. The BBB established a profile page for TRS in 2012. The BBB lists Titan Revenue Solutions as a collection agency. Buzzfile estimates TRS’s annual revenue at $250,000 and the size of its headquarters staff at 4 employees.

According to its website, TRS “combines leading edge technology with seasoned collection professionals to achieve the highest recovery rates without creating customer service problems.” TRS also “offers competitive rates that don’t change based on account age…and never charges up-front fees, …with no cost if they don’t collect.”

Who does Titan Revenue Solutions collect for?

Titan Revenue Solutions collects delinquent debts for a wide variety of businesses and industries, including public and private education lenders; medical and dental service providers; automotive dealerships; check cashing companies; plumbing and HVAC service organizations; pest control services; property management companies; security services; veterinary hospitals; media and advertising agencies; delivery and other types of service companies; and government agencies.

Titan Revenue Solutions provides debt recovery, check collection, pre-collect services, and commercial debt collection. Their debt recovery services include data scrubbing “against multiple databases to obtain the most current and accurate contact information” to expedite the collection process. TRS states that it “maintains the highest level of data and privacy security…and carries all necessary insurance and licenses.” In addition, TRS states that “collection activities are in strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including the FDCPA, HIPPA, and the California FDCPA.” However, the TSA website does not provide any links or references to consumer protection resources, laws, or enforcement agencies

Can Titan Revenue Solutions Sue Me or Garnish My Wages?

It is illegal for a debt collector to make empty threats to sue you or garnish your wages. It is also unlikely TRS would sue you for a debt you may not owe or they cannot validate. However, debt collection agencies are known to have summoned debtors to court and garnish wages after a default judgement. Contacting an attorney BEFORE this could possibly happen would be a smart move. We’ve helped thousands of consumers fight back against unscrupulous debt collection harassers. Can you help me file a No Fee Lawsuit against Titan Revenue Solutions?

Absolutely. You can sue a debt collector. Here are some Sample Complaints

Complaints against Titan Revenue Solutions cite problems resulting from disputes about the validity of debts and allegations of harassment. In September 2019, a complainant said he had called TRS the previous month to discuss his account. According to the complainant, he “offered to pay a lump sum of $1,000.” The TRS representative allegedly stated that “he would follow up and get back to him.” The TRS representative returned the call “later that day and stated that $1,000 wasn’t possible and the full amount was due.” The complainant asked him to work with him to resolve the debt, and the TRS representative allegedly stated, “‘I am, pay the full amount.’” The complainant alleged that the TRS representative then “began to tell him in a very rude and narcissistic way, ‘You are a good candidate to have your wages garnished. You will be taken to court. I am going to dig into your background, so you better pay the amount,’” and then hung up on the complainant. The complainant stated that it was ironic that TRS’s collection notices begin with a statement of rights under state and federal debt collection laws because the TRS representative “completely violated both of those acts with his threatening statements.” The complainant stated that he had called again the following month “with the hope of reaching an agreement and resolving his account. He offered a lump sum of $2,500,” but the TRS representative still declined,” and countered only with a demand to pay the full amount of $4,600. The complainant “told him he could not pay that amount,” but that he “could do monthly payments of $200.” The TRS representative “declined that as well and countered with… the insane amount of $857.79 per month, which was financially unsustainable for” the complainant. At that point, the complainant stated that the TRS representative told him, “‘Since you don’t want to pay I can’t do anything else but report out to the credit bureaus and take further action if you do not pay,’” and then hung up on him. The complainant stated that he was “not sure what to do at this point because Titan Revenue Solutions had already sent his account to the credit bureaus while he had been trying to resolve the balance.” He also said he was convinced that TRS had reported his account “before 30 days from being in their books,” and that “their letters do not have a date printed on them, either.” The complainant also stated that according to TRS’s social media sites, they are “known for threatening consumers and employing ill business practices that do not exhibit an ethical approach in dealing with people.”

Titan Revenue Solutions Calling You?

Federal laws protect you. The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) regulates the behavior of collection agencies by prohibiting actions such as the use of abusive or threatening language; harassment; or the use of false or misleading information to collect a debt. The FCRA regulates how collection agencies and creditors report delinquent debts to credit reporting agencies. Additional consumer protection laws include the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Act (CFPA).

Can I sue TRS for harassment?

Yes. If you want to enforce your rights, or recover money for violations — you need to sue. Federal laws provide individuals like you with a means to seek monetary damages in court. For example, the FDCPA allows consumers who have been violated to recover damages of up to $1,000, plus attorney fees and court costs.
