Is Halsted Financial Services a scam?

They’re legit. Halsted Financial Services can be considered a legitimate business due to the fact that the company has 12 years of experience, an “A” rating from the Better Business Bureau, as well as BBB accreditation. Because of these qualifications it is important that you attempt to resolve your alleged debt with Halsted Financial Services instead of writing the company off as a scam.

In fact, Halsted Financial Services cites a variety of their professional accreditations on their collections website. These accreditations include ACA International Member, BBB Accreditation, RMAi Certified, and Member of NMLS. Though it appears as though Halsted Financial Services values compliance and professionalism, many complainants claim that the collections company may not have helped them resolve their outstanding debt problems in a courteous way. Additionally, many complaints on the BBB claim that Halsted Financial Services may have also violated the FDCPA. Lastly, the Better Business Bureau lists a “Mr. Syed Ali” as the COO for Halsted Financial Services.

Who does Halsted Financial Services collect for?

Halsted Financial Services does not cite on their website which specific area of collections that they specialize in, or what companies they work for. Due to this lack of information regarding the collection company’s debt specialization, it is important that you confirm with the collections company about what debt is owed and to whom. Due to the outsourcing of debt, inquiring as soon as possible is the smartest move to make because one collection account can turn into many reporting on your credit file if the debt is not dealt with.

I’ve been receiving collection emails from HALSTED FINANCIAL SERVICES. I filed bankruptcy chapter 13 in 2019. At the time I don’t think i owed this account anything & if i did, it was filed in bankruptcy. I can’t locate my papers at this time, but I’ll call my bankruptcy lawyer in the morning. The email has ALL of the account information & when i click on to see MY OPTIONS, the website ask for input of last 4 SS number. Im not giving them more info to find out about the false collection. Anyways, isn’t it illegal for them to be contacting me after bankruptcy is filed?? I mean, its been almost 3 yrs since i filed & these collection emails from them just started last wk. This is so odd!! BTW, is the star rating for this business? Or you? I didn’t know what to rate. Sorry!

They can’t take our survival tool when I have money to pay. Goldacceptance Financial company is not understanding . And plus they over priced this truck. With dangerous rims that can pop off on any given turn.
