Action Recovery Online writes on their website that the business has experience within the following areas of collections: Medical Collection, Dental Office Collection, Funeral Home Debt Collection, Daycare Debt Collection, HVAC Contractors & Utility Debt Collection.

The company explains on their website that the purpose of their business is to, “honor the relationships that clients have with patients” and utilize a, “do no harm” approach. The company additionally claims that they have helped hundreds of doctors and dentists collect on past due accounts. According to the company’s LinkedIn page, Action Recovery Online maintains, “a success rate 4 times the industry average” and, “consistently outperforms the traditional collection agency”. With a diversified background in collections, Action Recovery Online becomes a force in the collections industry. While this may be beneficial for the company, it is important that as a consumer you confirm with the collections company about what debt is specifically owed and to whom. After a complainant pulled their credit report, they noticed that they were in collections with Action Recovery Online. The complainant never recieved any notification of the collection through mail or phone. Because this was suspicious to the complainant, they decided called to call Action Recovery Online to inquire about this debt. The complainant was later advised that, “the money due was from a doctor’s visit in 2012”. The representative of the collections company was rude to the complainant and refused to provide the complainant with any additional information, pushing the complainant to pay off the account.  Eventually, the complainant called the doctor’s office where the debt was allegedly owed and the office notified the complainant that they did not have a balance and that they did not use this collection agency. The complainant called Action Recovery Online again to explain that their doctor’s office states that they are not in collections and that they do not use this company. The complainant asked the employee of Action Recovery Online to call the doctor’s office to verify and never received a call back. The complainant then called Action Recovery Online again a week later, “asking for them to send validated proof of the debt owed” and the complainant was told that they had no information on the matter. The complainant also sent 2 written letters to the collection company, “asking for validated proof of the debt with no answer”. The company insists that the complainant owes this money but does not offer proof of the alleged debt.
