According to a complainant, A representative for Uptain Group called their cell and their home phone repeatedly after they were advised to contact the complainant’s attorney. Each time after Uptain Group calls, they claim that they are “unaware of the attorney”. This collections agency continues to call and harass the complainant’s wife and himself through both of their cell phones and their home phone even though, “They have been told on multiple occasions to contact the attorney’s office”, as the information on the attorney’s name and the attorney’s phone number have been given to the collections company. Additionally, the complainant explains that recently their wife spoke to a woman named Vonda who denied knowing about the attorney but proceeded to throw out an unmentioned term to her regarding the attorney. The complainant would like this harassment to cease as it is against the FDCPA.
